Guide to buying your waistcoat - its important you make the right choice!

Why you should buy a waistcoat by Jackie Wills:

  • You will own a waistcoat that is guaranteed unique.
  • You are buying an original, timeless and distinct garment.
  • Over the years I have developed my own individual style - this style is constantly evolving.
  • If you commission a waistcoat I can guarantee to incorporate your personality and wishes into the design, however bizarre and impossible it may seem. 
  • I know my design capabilities - I will not commence any commission that I cannot fufil.
  • I cannot mass produce these waistcoats - each one is made in my Devon studio by my own hand and imagination.

Prices:

  • Jackie Wills waiscoats vary in cost.  £20.00 - £500.00 -  Each one is unique so the creativity time varies and reflected in cost.  Other factors mentioned below are also taken into consideration.
  • Waistcoats purchased from Shop are priced.  Discounts for multiple purchases.
  • Commissions vary - according to work involved.  Simple  from £60.00  Embroidered  from  £100.00 -  £500.00 (depending on detail required)
  • Price includes signed for postage delivery.
  • Samples £10.00 - refundable when sample is returned.
  • Toiles - £10.00 - refundable when toile returned
  • Payment by UK sterling cheque, UK postal order or paypal.

Fitting:

  • Each shop listed waistcoat has a series of measurements - compare to a gament you own.
  • Standard sizes vary - so best check measurements before you purchase.
  • Commissioned waistcoats are created to a toile or your pattern.

Styles:

  • Ladies - long and short from size 10 - 20 
  • Mens - Cowboy or Straight Edge - sizes S - XXL
  • Many of the waistcoats are designed can be unisex.  
  • Majority of waistcoats have no front fastenings to allow flexibility - and to cater for public demand.
  • If front fastening is required - pewter or metal clasps are available.
  • Pockets - some have pockets - as per waistcoat description.

Fabrics:

  • Majority of waistcoats are created using 14oz (heavyweight)  x 100% cotton denim and 100% cotton lining.
  • Patchwork waistcoats are created using glazed cotton chintz or selected recycled fabrics.    
  • Most are perfect -  meaning beautifully crafted.
  • Some are experimental, some may have flaws (always pointed out within description).

Under the distance selling regulations you can cancel waistcoat order within seven working days of receipt. I will be prompt in returning your payment on the condition that the waistcoat is returned to me in the same condition that you recieved it.  It is not acceptable to return it worn, damaged or smelling of smoke, perfume or aftershave. 
 
Please return waistcoat by special delivery unless it cost under £30.00, when signed for delivery is acceptable.

Commissioned Waistcoats. 

I cannot accept the return of waistcoats that have been commissioned with personal initials, dates, words or diverse designs that would have no meaning to anyone but the original buyer.

I will always be helpful should your waistcoat not meet your expectation.  

In the event that I should take more than 72 hours away from the computer/telephone notices will appear on the home (front) page of website.
